hes scored 4 goals in about 15 games, thats shite! and dont give me the bollocks off he creates them aswell, because he isnt a patch on big emile.

It isn't shite in a bad team really. As for not a patch on Emile, I'd say he's maybe as good as Emile was when he was 23, maybe he'll turn to shit too, who knows.

He's very similar in style to Drogba, how many league goals has he scored this season out of interest? 5 I think, is he shit too?

It would take that sort of money for us to consider selling him if he keeps going the way he is. He was very good again today, I think the top 4 will see that and realise what he could do with decent players around him.

I did the predictor thing on the BBC today and Wigan are officially going down with Fulham and Derby. It's tight though.

And what does that really tell you?

Its all bollocks.

Do it yourself, see what you come up with, it's quicker if you only include the teams in the bottom 8.

Surely Drogba hasn't played anywhere near the same amount of games as Kenwyn Jones?

Thats a pretty weak comparison to make.

Are you suggesting it is easier to score goals for Sunderland than it is for Chelsea, are you suggesting Kenwyn Jones would receive more chances per game than Drogba?

As it stands Drogba has played 11, Jones has played 19.

No mate I'm just saying that your fella has played more games this season for Sunderland than Drogs has for Chelsea. :|

I don't think you can compare the two at all. Ones a world class striker the other is raw potential playing in the Premierleague for the first time.

You can compare anyone to anyone to say they are a similar style of player. Am I suggesting he has acheived anything like Drogba? Of course not! I am suggesting they are both of a similar style. Jones is a lot younger and has done nothing yet except impress in his first season in the Premiership.

It's a comparison others are making, not just me.

Rob Stewart of The Times said "After the break, Jones continued to dominate in his confrontation with seasoned campaigners Distin and Campbell and soon Wearside's version of Didier Drogba helped Richardson set his sights on a hat-trick only for his 20-yard drive to flash over the crossbar" after last week's win over Portsmouth when Jones turned Campbell inside out.

He is an excellent player, probably one of the few quality young out and out target men in europe let alone the Premiership. We'll be lucky to hold onto him truth be known. He striked at Southampton to come to Sunderland so I fear if a top 4 side came in for him he'd want away. Time will tell.

You made the comparison in terms of the equal number of goals scored as well as the likeness in style. Footballers, strikers especially are judged on statistics (goals scored etc) and a return of five is shit when you consider how much 'game time' he has had compaired to the injured Drogba.

I understand scoring goals for Sunderland will be a lot harder than say for Chelsea but if your manager is going to make such silly comments then expect the rest of us to be the picky, pokey pain in the arses we can be by making comments.

Anyway Winston chill.

I'd say 5 in 19 for Sunderland is comparable to 5 in 11 for Chelsea, do you disagree? Neither are excellent ratios but then again neither are out and out goalscrorers. Also you have to consider Kenwyn needed time to adjust to the Premier League.

Do you agree he plays a similar style of football? he has pace, power strength and reminds me of a young Drogba. He holds the ball up well, works hard and is very powerful and has quite a bit of skill. Given a few years he could really be a top class player, and remember he's only 23.

Out of interest, do Manchester City have any forwards as good/better?

Do I agree Jones plays in a similar style to Drogba?

Haven't a scooby as I've hardly seen him. But he ain't worth £40 million of anyones cash and he isn't anyway near the same class of player as DD.

When you get relegated we'll see the clubs in for him and the sort of cash he goes for, assuming you sell.

I've never said he is in the same class as Drogba. I've said he plays in a similar style. He isn't an out and out goalscorer, that's what we are lacking as well as decent wide players who aren't injured all of the time!

Well its all about opinions and thats what makes it all tick.

Another of mine is you'll go down, you disagree. It will all come out in the wash.

You think we'll go down, I don't think we will. One of us will be wrong, it'll be fairly close though it seems. Not sure how you can have an opinion on someone you've "hardly seen" though.
