Dont know much about him but think hes just been called up to the Dutch squad.

And he cant be worse than Melchiot

Quite glad that at least 2 out of our back 4 from last season have been replaced. Hopefully we wont be leaking 5-9 goals on a regular basis!

Looking at our squad now I think its the best we've had in years. I think Martinez has made some very good signings in Alcaraz, Boselli and McCarthur.
However, I'm worried that come the start of the season we wont have N'zogbia/Rodallega. If we keep onto our squad as it is then I think we could potentially have a good season.

Not sure? having lived reasonably local to Wigan for a long time (soon to change fingers crossed) I take an interest. I thought you were in freefall at one point last season (along with Sunderland) although I was still convinced you'd be okay. Hopefully last season has shown Martinez the pitfalls of the Premiership and he'll rectify the frailness you showed at the back.

Yeh we released Melchiot a few weeks ago. A year too late imo. He was good for us in his first season, but has been crap past couple of years. I liked the guy though, think age just caught up with him!
