Last night we did alright, nothing great or anything but alright, until they scored. After that our heads went pure west an we never got it back. Happened a lot this season when we've conceeded. Arsenal at home being one of the major ones.

It's obviously a confidence thing but I can't work out why.

In fairness Ian, your heads were West before the goal an all.

To be honest I don't think we was. We was just playin' average at best. Everything just went bizarre after that like.

Not sure admittin' we was poor classes as bein' in denial to be honest. Nando scores early doors from the chance he hit the post with I think we'd have won the game.

Played better than Monday night. Had chances in the first half, mainly, but never took 'em.

Plenty of life left in the tie though.

Did Aquilani get on at all?

Why is he still not starting? Not fit?

Nah he never mate.

He doesn't seem to be at the pace of the game yet and I think that Rafa is bein cautious with him. He is, afterall, a cautious and calculated risk-taking manager. He had been out for nearly 2 years so not suprised by this. Don't think we'll see a great deal of him until next season like.

I watched 30min and turned it off and watched Hamburg v Anderlect, at least they play some decent football. It makes the comments from Benitez about our style even more daft (though the whole thing is pathetic mind you).

The first time he, and also Maxi, looked like they was gettin' to grips with the game over here. Good to see.

It all looks great for the cameras but it won't shift them. Same as the Rags with this Green & Gold shite. You need to really crank it up a notch and ginger them up a bit. Get under the stand when they are there at a match - put the fear of god up them. Protest outside the main reception area of the stand as they can't hide there all night.

You need to get tough or you will be lumbered with them for ages.
